I’ve been interviewed a fair number of times and Steve Scher was at the top of the list. I loved listening to his program on KUOW while I lived in Seattle and also after moving to Boston. My sense is that he’s teaching now, which is fantastic for his students and the future of journalism but sad for us who loved his insights, humor and general demeanor.
This is a one hour show about bookbinding. I think it’s a nice program but I hate myself in it, for the most part. But I tried, it was great to be on air with him and my two friends. But radio is tough, tougher than television I think.
